Christopher Irion is a advertising and portrait photographer who street-casts real people and photographs them in a portable studio resembling a photobooth. He has also used his portable studio to shoot campaigns for the medical, healthcare, real estate and high tech industries. He works in San francisco, the West Coast and New England.
For the last ten years he has traveled throughout the United States creating photo-murals of the members of different communities. He has shot The Campaign for Berkeley photobooth project as well as installations at museums, colleges, universities and towns around the country.
Projects include Wake Forest University, Scripps College, Claremont Art Museum, Saks Fifth Avenue, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, California 4H, The Towns of Yountville, California, Silver City, New Mexico and Putney, Vermont.
